PMI releases its latest Smoke-Free Products – Scientific Update 07, a regular publication on its research efforts to develop and assess a range of potentially reduced-risk alternatives to cigarettes.
We delve into the data-filled world of systems toxicology, highlight a milestone for our data-sharing platform INTERVALS, present our latest organs-on-a-chip study, and more.
Our featured article breaks down the intricacies of systems toxicology, thanks to Julia Hoeng, Director of Systems Toxicology. She opens up about her experience in the field, her team, and how their work has far-reaching significance that goes beyond tobacco research.
We also discuss the ABOUTTM toolbox; our assessment system that measures how people use and think about smoke-free products, compared to other tobacco or nicotine products.
Plus, we explore recent publications on smoke-free products, both from independent scientists and our own researchers, including a proposed approach to measuring the risk of lung cancer.
