19th Fraunhofer Seminar "Models of Lung Disease"

      The 19th Fraunhofer Seminar "Models of Lung Disease" will be held in Hannover, Germany, on February 6 and 7, 2020. This workshop for about 120 participants, organized by Fraunhofer ITEM in cooperation with the German Center for Lung Research (DZL), will provide a platform for intense discussions between industry and academia about predictive disease models and translational lung research. During the two-day event, Fraunhofer ITEM will offer several guided tours to selected departments of the institute, allowing visitors to get insights into different aspects of the research work performed by the Fraunhofer scientists.

      Reduced Risk Products ("RRPs”) is the term we use to refer to products that present, are likely to present, or have the potential to present less risk of harm to smokers who switch to these products versus continuing smoking. PMI has a range of RRPs in various stages of development, scientific assessment and commercialization. Our RRPs are smoke-free products that produce an aerosol that contains far lower quantities of harmful and potentially harmful constituents than found in cigarette smoke.
