      The International Society for Aerosols in Medicine (ISAM) was founded in 1970. The objectives of ISAM are to stimulate and further the interdisciplinary cooperation and exchange of information in all aspects of aerosol research in medicine including health effects of inhaled aerosols and pulmonary drug delivery. This includes, but is not limited to, aerosols and health, pulmonary drug delivery and toxicological aspects of inhaled aerosols. The ISAM Congress has developed into one of the largest pulmonary drug delivery and medical aerosol events worldwide. It offers a high-level program for scientists of different disciplines, clinicians, pharmacists and all respiratory healthcare professionals working in this area. The 21st Congress of the International Society of Aerosols in Medicine will offer a platform for discussions between partners from different disciplines and locations.

      Reduced Risk Products ("RRPs”) is the term we use to refer to products that present, are likely to present, or have the potential to present less risk of harm to smokers who switch to these products versus continuing smoking. PMI has a range of RRPs in various stages of development, scientific assessment and commercialization. Our RRPs are smoke-free products that produce an aerosol that contains far lower quantities of harmful and potentially harmful constituents than found in cigarette smoke.
