This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendants were unable to meet in person. Yet this is a critical time in nicotine science, policy and tobacco harm reduction. Organizers did not want to miss the opportunity GFN gives to share the latest research, discuss ideas and solutions, and spark debate. They therefore brought an alternative, online GFN20, free to access and open to all. The theme was ‘Nicotine: science, ethics and human rights’. Together, hosts and presenters examined advances in nicotine science, the ethical arguments in favour of tobacco harm reduction, and the human rights issues for all those who advocate for the right to health. PMI has a range of RRPs in various stages of development, scientific assessment and commercialization. Our RRPs are smoke-free products that produce an aerosol that contains far lower quantities of harmful and potentially harmful constituents than found in cigarette smoke.
