Welcome to the seventh Global Forum on Nicotine - GFN20. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendants were unable to meet in person. Yet this is a critical time in nicotine science, policy and tobacco harm reduction. Organizers did not want to miss the opportunity GFN gives to share the latest research, discuss ideas and solutions, and spark debate.
They therefore brought an alternative, online GFN20, free to access and open to all. The theme was ‘Nicotine: science, ethics and human rights’. Together, hosts and presenters examined advances in nicotine science, the ethical arguments in favour of tobacco harm reduction, and the human rights issues for all those who advocate for the right to health.
The organizers invited PMI's Moira Gilchrist to present on the topic of "Can a leopard change its spots?"
