7th AFLAS Congress 2016
SALAS envisions the 7th AFLAS Congress 2016 to promote a high level of responsibility, care and welfare for all laboratory animals through its pursuit of continuing education. To support this growing community in Singapore, it works actively with academic and industry partners to organize events such as:
- Training sessions for Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) members,
- Educational classes for technicians and managers to prepare for certification in the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS),
- Seminars with visiting experts in laboratory animal science, annual regional conferences since 2004
- Social events for its members to foster cooperation and understanding between scientists, animal facility staff, regulators, administrators and vendors
