Esther is a Senior Behavioral Scientist and holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Warwick, U.K. She joined PMI in 2017 as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist, Epidemiology and Real-World Evidence. 

Esther’s current role in the Behavioral Sciences team involves leading behavioral research projects, including working on the ABOUT™ Toolbox, a portfolio of self-report questionnaires that support consumer perception and behavior assessment related to the use of tobacco and nicotine products (TNPs).

Reduced Risk Products ("RRPs”) is the term we use to refer to products that present, are likely to present, or have the potential to present less risk of harm to smokers who switch to these products versus continuing smoking. PMI has a range of RRPs in various stages of development, scientific assessment and commercialization. All of our RRPs are smoke-free products that deliver nicotine with far lower quantities of harmful and potentially harmful constituents than found in cigarette smoke.
