Rigorous, robust, and transparent science is at the core of the development and assessment of our smoke-free products

Explore our product assessment program, the results of our assessment, and the publications those results are published in. Besides our own research on smoke-free products there is also a wealth of independent research and expert reports on the smoke-free product category.

The science behind the development and assessment of our smoke-free products was inspired by practices used in the pharmaceutical industry for the development of new drugs, and is aligned to the draft guidance on Modified Risk Tobacco Product Applications issued by U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) Center for Tobacco Products in 2012.
