Florence is Product Safety Assessment Manager, and her role involves establishing and implementing toxicological assessments strategies to support the evaluation of PMI’s smoke-free products.
She graduated from the University of Geneva with a PhD in Molecular Biology, centered on nuclear organization of budding yeast using molecular biology and fluorescent microscopy. She was a postdoctoral fellow of the University of Belgrade, Serbia, where her research focused on the electrochemical activity of antibiotics. Florence is studying for a Master’s in Advanced Studies, Toxicology, at the University of Geneva.
Florence joined PMI in 2006 as a Scientist in Toxicological Assessment and has since held various roles, including Manager Strategy Assessment and Manager Toxicology and Product Assessment.
