      Jana is a Scientific Writer, writing and producing content for pmiscience.com and other media. She earned her PhD in Chemistry from Rice University in Houston, Texas, in the U.S., with a focus on the development of a liquid crystal display using metal nanomaterials. As a graduate student, Jana developed a passion for sharing her science with others, and she decided to forge a career path in science communications.

      Jana has nine years of experience in science communications, including teaching science to a range of audiences, writing science newsletter and magazine articles, project reports, grant applications, scientific publications, web content, simple science explainers, and more. Jana joined PMI in 2017 and has held various science communication roles, mostly focused on PMI Science. She enjoys the opportunity to learn about science from many scientific disciplines and, at the same time, explaining that science to a diverse audience.

PMI has a range of RRPs in various stages of development, scientific assessment and commercialization. All of our RRPs are smoke-free products that deliver nicotine with far lower quantities of harmful and potentially harmful constituents than found in cigarette smoke.
