      Mathias is Vice President Product Category Management Heat not Burn (HnB). Swiss by origin, he holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from HES (Haute école spécialisée) in Le Locle, Switzerland. In his current role, Mathias is responsible for product definition and leading the product function through the development of future HnB products. He is also the product representative in PMI’s HnB category management team.

      Mathias joined PMI in 1997 and has worked in various roles in Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Portfolio Strategy and Commercialization. He brings vast product knowledge and experience to the HnB category.

      Reduced Risk Products ("RRPs”) is the term we use to refer to products that present, are likely to present, or have the potential to present less risk of harm to smokers who switch to these products versus continuing smoking. PMI has a range of RRPs in various stages of development, scientific assessment and commercialization. All of our RRPs are smoke-free products that deliver nicotine with far lower quantities of harmful and potentially harmful constituents than found in cigarette smoke.
