      International Congress of Toxicology

      The International Congress of Toxicology (ICT) is an every-three-year that explores the latest developments in toxicology research and practice, with topics ranging from basic science to regulatory issues. The conference is aimed at toxicologists, researchers, and other professionals involved in the study and regulation of toxic substances, and provides a forum for sharing knowledge and collaborating on new approaches to reducing chemical exposure.

      The Dutch Society of Toxicology (NVT) hosts the XVIth International Congress of Toxicology with the theme "Uniting in Toxicology". This congress is jointly organized with the International Union of Toxicology (IUTOX) and the European Society of Toxicology (EUROTOX), and unites the toxicological scientists worldwide in the historical city of Maastricht. The program has inputs from academia, industry, and regulators and challenges the audience to interact and participate in debates and discussions.

      The Congress' major theme is on 'Toxicology and Global Sustainability' and it covers a broad range of topics related to toxicology, including the use of animal models, the effects of nanomaterials on human health, and the use of in vitro methods to assess toxicity.

      The congress welcomed 1,816 registered participants with 1216 abstracts presented, 50 sessions and 150 exhibitors from 64 companies/entities. Prior to the start of the event, there was a day of continuing education courses.
