Cooperation Center for Scientific Research Relative to Tobacco Congress

Under the theme “Progress in Tobacco Harm Reduction Science,” this year’s conference will explore research topic areas including: test methods for combustible and noncombustible products, emerging technologies in assessing noncombustible products, emerging fit-for-purpose biomarkers for the assessment of risk reduction potential of noncombustible products, characterizing use behavior of noncombustible products as actually used, and the use of real-world evidence.

The theme of this year’s conference is “From Field to Future: Advancing Tobacco Science Through Innovation and Environmental Stewardship”. Study groups will include topics on the role of agronomy on leaf production and composition, genetics and breeding, crop and environmental protection, Good Agricultural Practices, specialty and heritage tobaccos and derived products from Indonesia, innovations in product technology, and more.

The CORESTA Congress 2024 focuses on "Advancing Tobacco Harm Reduction through Scientific Collaboration." The congress aims to enhance understanding of tobacco harm reduction through scientific research, covering aspects from agricultural production to product characterization, nonclinical and clinical assessments, and user behavior.

The congress features a variety of sessions, including scientific presentations, panel discussions, and workshops. Topics include the characterization of tobacco and nicotine products, toxicological assessments, clinical evaluations, and studies on product use behavior. The 51st Tobacco Workers' Conference (TWC) welcomes industry professionals to engage in discussions and collaborations. Since its establishment in 1937, TWC has been a cornerstone event in the tobacco industry, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among industry professionals.

The AP2023 Conference of Agronomy & Leaf Integrity and Phytopathology & Genetics Study Groups follows on from the SSPT2023 Conference organized by Mother Murphy's Laboratories and offers an attractive scientific program with high level scientific presentations and thematic workshops.

Held virtually for the first time, the theme of this Congress is: "Integrated Science: Opportunities and Challenges".

This event's purpose is to promote international cooperation in scientific research relative to tobacco and its derived products. 

A key focus point of this joint study group is product use behavior, product research, and adaptation of existing analytical and biological methods to new product categories, or the development of alternative methods.
