Global Forum on Nicotine

GFN2024, the 11th edition of the Global Forum on Nicotine, convenes stakeholders from around the world to explore the evolving landscape of safer nicotine products. This year's conference is themed Economics, Health and Tobacco Harm Reduction and promises insightful discussions on the individual and public health benefits of alternatives to combustible tobacco. With a program driven by the latest scientific evidence and inclusive of diverse perspectives, GFN2024 aims to foster constructive dialogue on tobacco harm reduction and its economic implications.

The 10th Global Forum on Nicotine reflects on the challenges and achievements of tobacco harm reduction while also attempting to identify future goals for researchers, industry, and policymakers. As always, the event enables discussion and debate informed by input from all prospective tobacco harm reduction stakeholders.

Unlike prior years, this event avoids the typically large gathering in Warsaw by going online. Bringing 2,000 people from over 100 countries for the online sessions, this conference, which has for theme "Nicotine: science, ethics and human rights", examines why it is critical that science both leads and supports policy and regulation.

The Global Forum on Nicotine (GFN) 2020 invited Dr. Moira Gilchrist, VP Strategic & Scientific Communications, to speak at its "Can a leopard change its spots?" session. You can find some of the content she presented below and the video here.
